Everything people usually write in and ask, answered here first. If yours is not on this page, it is one email away.

01Buying
How does buying work?
Press Install on any product page and you go straight to a secure payment page. Or add several products to the Installation Queue in the menu bar and pay for them all in one go — the queue is the closest thing here to a basket, and it survives a reload.
Enter your email, pay, and your files arrive by email in the same minute. There is no account to create and no password to remember.
What payment methods can I use?
Card — Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others depending on where you are — plus whichever local methods are available in your country. Klarna, Amazon Pay, Bancontact and MB WAY show up for a lot of people; the payment page decides what to offer once it knows where you are.
Your card details go from your browser to the payment processor and never touch this store. I never see them, and there is nowhere here they could be stored.
Why does my bank statement say LINK.COM instead of August?
Because payment is handled by Link, which is the merchant of record for the August Store — the seller, in other words, which is the phrase the Terms use. Your statement will show something like LINK.COM* AUGUSTOVND.COM rather than my name.
Nothing is wrong when you see that. It is the normal way these purchases appear, and it is worth knowing before you look at your statement in three weeks and wonder who Link is.
Your purchase is still made, delivered, supported and maintained by August. If anything about the product needs sorting out, write to me — not to your bank.
Do I need an account?
No. Your email address is the only identity here. It is how your download arrives, how a purchase is proved later, and how I find your order if you write in.
02Prices and tax
Is the price on the page the price I pay?
In euros, pounds and Australian dollars — yes. VAT or GST is already inside the number, so €49.99 means €49.99 at the end.
In US and Canadian dollars, sales tax is added at checkout instead, the way it is in most shops there. How much depends on your state or province. Either way you see the total before you pay, never after.
Can I see prices in my own currency?
The store picks one from where you appear to be, and you can change it yourself from the menu bar — euros, US dollars, pounds, Canadian dollars or Australian dollars. Your choice is remembered on your own machine.
These are not conversions of one another. Each is a price set for that market, so it does not move with an exchange rate between the moment you read it and the moment you pay. If your country is not one of the five, you see euros and the payment page converts at its own rate.
Is there a subscription?
No, and there will not be. You pay once, the files are yours, and there is nothing to renew.
03Getting your files
Where do I receive my files, and how long does it take?
By email, to the address you paid with, within a minute of paying. The email carries your download link and — for VND TypeKit — your license key.
If it has not arrived in five minutes, check your spam folder first; that is where it is nine times out of ten. If it is genuinely not there, write to support@augustovnd.com from the address you used and I will send it again.
Can I download again later?
Yes. The link works for 30 days and can be used several times, so a failed download, a second computer or a full drive is not a problem.
The files themselves never expire. Keep a copy somewhere you trust — the link is a delivery mechanism, not storage.
I lost the email. Now what?
Write to me from the address you bought with and I will send the link again. That is a normal request, not an imposition, and there is no time limit on it.
04Updates
Do I get future updates?
Yes, and they are free. Your original download link always serves the newest version — there is no separate upgrade to buy and nothing to reactivate. A link issued months ago will hand you today's build.
For how long?
There is no cut-off. Most software of this kind gives you a year of updates and then asks again; I have decided not to do that.
What I cannot promise is that a product will be updated forever. If one is ever retired, the last version keeps working and you keep the files — they are on your machine and nothing here can reach them.
How do I know something has been updated?
The homepage calendar marks releases, and paid updates to something you own ship with a changelog inside the download. VND TypeKit is on version 1.2.
05Your license
Can I use these for commercial work?
Yes — personal, client, monetized and commercial projects, with no limit on how many videos or photographs you make and no extra fee for what you earn.
The work you make with these tools is entirely yours. I claim nothing in it.
How many computers can I install on?
VND TypeKit activates on three machines you personally edit on, using the license key from your receipt.
PowerGrade, FilmPack and TypeKit Lite need no key at all — they are ordinary files. The license is still for one person, or one company.
New computer, or reinstalled system?
Email me and I will reset your key. That is a normal request, it happens often, and it is not something I charge for.
A machine already activated keeps working offline whatever happens next — TypeKit contacts the internet exactly once, at activation, and never again.
Can I share them with a colleague, or my team?
No. The license covers one person or one company, and sharing a key or the files themselves is the one thing that makes a store like this unworkable.
If you need several seats, write to me and we will sort something out. That is a much better conversation than the other one.
What is not allowed?
- Reselling, sharing, re-uploading or redistributing the files.
- Selling the presets, grades or title as your own, alone or inside a pack.
- Handing the source files to a client — deliver the finished render, not the plugin.
- Redistributing what the tools produce as a product in its own right: a LUT exported from the PowerGrade, an
.xmpre-saved from a FilmPack look. - Folding any of it into a pack, template or stock library you sell or give away.
The line is between output and instructions. A finished video or a delivered photograph is yours, unconditionally and forever. A file that lets somebody else reproduce the look without buying it is the product.

06What runs what
VND TypeKit and TypeKit Lite
DaVinci Resolve on Windows, macOS and Linux — the free version as well as Studio. The engine is built on Resolve's own Fusion text tools, so you do not need a Studio license.
It is a real plugin, not a folder of presets: a custom animation engine plus a native Edit-page title. After installing you will find it under Effects → Titles → VND, with every control in the normal Inspector.
VND's PowerGrade
A DaVinci Resolve node tree and a LUT, built from the full color workflow rather than a single look. It imports into Resolve like any other PowerGrade.
VND FilmPack
Lightroom, including the free mobile app, and Lightroom Classic. The pack ships in both formats Lightroom accepts: .xmp presets that import in one go, and .dng files Lightroom reads as photographs. If one route is not available on your version, the other one is.
How do I check before buying?
Every product page lists what it needs — which host application, and which version of it. And TypeKit Lite is free and runs the same engine, so the surest test is to install it and see how it behaves on your own machine before spending anything.
07Refunds
If something is broken, missing, or not what the page described, I fix it — or you get your money back. Always, and that part is mine to decide.
A change of mind on a file you have already downloaded is Link's decision, because Link is the seller. Ask either of us and we will point you the right way.
Something is wrong with the product itself
Write to me. A corrupt or incomplete file, something missing from what the page said was included, a product that does not do what was described, a license key that will not activate — all of that is mine, and none of it is discretionary.
I will usually try to fix it first, because a working product is normally what you actually wanted. If I cannot, you get your money back.
I just changed my mind
Ask. It is decided by Link rather than by me, so I am not going to promise you an answer in advance — but tell me and I will pass it on, and I would rather have the conversation than leave you stuck with something.
EU customers also have a statutory right of withdrawal, which the refund policy sets out in full, along with a form you can use.
Bought the same thing twice, or the wrong one?
Tell me. A duplicate gets refunded, and a wrong one gets swapped or refunded. Neither is a difficult conversation.
08Getting help
How do I reach you?
Email, at support@augustovnd.com. There is no ticket system and no queue — there is one person who reads them, and that person is me.
How long will it take?
Usually a day or two. It is one person rather than a support team, so it is not instant — but every email gets read and every email gets answered.
If you are making a formal complaint rather than asking a question, say so: write complaint anywhere in the message. You will get a written acknowledgment with a reference number and an answer within fifteen days.
What should I include?
Four things save a round trip and usually mean the first reply is the answer:
- What you bought.
- The email address you used.
- Your operating system.
- The version of DaVinci Resolve or Lightroom you are running.
I have not bought anything yet and I am not sure it suits me
Write anyway and describe what you are trying to do. I will tell you honestly if it is not the right tool — including if the right answer is that you do not need to buy anything.
Still stuck?
Ask. I would rather answer an email than have you work around something that has a two-line fix.
