Terms of Service
What you agree to when you buy something here — written to be read, not to be survived.
v2.1 · effective 4 august 2026Contents — 12 sections
01Who you buy from
August is a one-person studio. The tools are made by Cesar Tovar, trading as augustovnd, based in Spain.
Your payment is taken by Link, which is the seller of record. Link charges you, issues the receipt, and works out and pays over the tax due where you live. Your card statement will show LINK.COM alongside augustovnd.com rather than my name — that is not a mistake.
The products themselves are provided by augustovnd under these terms. So Link’s terms govern the transaction, and these ones govern the thing you bought: what it is, what you may do with it, and what I will do for you afterwards.

02What you are buying
Everything here is a digital file you download. Nothing is posted to you, and nothing is a subscription — you pay once and the files are yours.
- VND TypeKit — an animated title plugin for DaVinci Resolve. Needs a license key.
- VND TypeKit Lite — the free version of the same engine. No key, no payment.
- VND’s PowerGrade — a DaVinci Resolve node tree and LUT.
- VND FilmPack — nine Lightroom presets, supplied as both .xmp and .dng.
Each product page says what it needs to run — which host application, and which version of it. Those requirements are part of the description: if a product will not work with the software you have, that is worth checking before you buy, and TypeKit Lite exists so you can try the engine for nothing first.
03Prices and currency
Prices are shown in euros, US dollars, pounds, Canadian dollars or Australian dollars, chosen from where you appear to be. You can change it yourself in the menu bar at any time, and that choice is remembered.
These are not conversions of one another. Each is a price set for that market, so it does not drift with an exchange rate between the moment you read it and the moment you pay.
In euros, pounds and Australian dollars, the price on the page is the price you pay. VAT or GST is already inside it.
In US and Canadian dollars, sales tax is added at checkout — as it is in most shops there. What is due depends on your state or province, and you see the total before you pay, not after.
If your country is not one of those five, you see euros here and Stripe converts to your own currency at checkout, at its rate.
04Payment and tax
Payment is taken by Link. I never see or hold your card details — they go from your browser to Stripe and nowhere near this store.
Because Link is the seller of record, Link works out, collects and pays over any VAT or sales tax due where you are. How much depends on your country, and whether it sits inside the price or is added to it depends on your currency — section 03 says which is which. Either way you see the total before you pay, not after.
05Your license
Buying gives you a license to use the product. It is worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and it does not expire.
You can use it for commercial work, including paid client projects, with no limit on how many videos or photographs you make and no extra fee for what you earn.
The work you make with these tools is entirely yours. I claim nothing in it.
The license is for one person, or one company. What you may not do:
- Resell, share, re-upload or redistribute the files themselves.
- Sell the presets, grades or title as your own, alone or inside a pack.
- Include the source files in a project you hand to a client — deliver the finished render, not the plugin.
- Remove or defeat the license check, or share your key.
- Redistribute what the tools produce as a product in its own right — a LUT exported from the PowerGrade, an
.xmpre-saved from a FilmPack look, a preset file derived from either. The render is yours; the recipe is not. - Fold any of it into a pack, template, preset set or plugin you sell or give away, or into stock you license to others.
The line is between output and instructions. A finished video, a delivered photograph, a client render — yours, unconditionally, forever, and I claim nothing in any of it. A file that lets somebody else reproduce the look without buying it is the product, whatever extension it happens to have.
If a license is used in a way this section prohibits, it ends. I would rather email you about it first, and in practice I will.
Each download ships a LICENSE.txt saying the same thing. If the two ever disagree, this page is the one that counts, because it is the one I can correct.
06Activation
VND TypeKit needs a one-time activation. Your key arrives in the receipt email and covers three machines you personally edit on.
Activation contacts store.augustovnd.com once, to check the key and write a small file next to the plugin. After that it never contacts anything again — the plugin works fully offline, on a machine that has never been online, and it keeps working if this store one day does not.
New computer, reinstalled system, or three machines used up honestly? Email me and I will reset it. That is a normal request, not a problem, and it is not something I charge for.
Nothing else here needs a key. PowerGrade, FilmPack and TypeKit Lite are ordinary files.
07Downloads and updates
Your download link arrives by email straight after payment. It stays valid for 30 days and can be used several times, so a failed download or a second computer is not a problem.
The files themselves never expire. Keep a copy somewhere you trust — the link is a delivery mechanism, not storage.
Updates to something you own are free, and your original link serves the newest version. There is no version you have to buy again to keep using what you already bought. I do not promise a particular update on a particular date, because I would rather ship one when it is right than to a calendar.
There is no time limit on that, and it is deliberate rather than an oversight: most software of this kind gives you a year of updates and then asks again, and I have decided not to. What I cannot promise is that a product will be updated forever — if one is ever retired, the last version keeps working and you keep the files, because they are on your machine and nothing here can reach them.
Lost the email? Write to me with the address you used and I will send it again.
08Refunds
Link is the seller of record and the money passes through them, but a refund you ask me for is my decision, not theirs — Stripe confirmed on 13 August 2026 that they neither assess nor rule on a request made directly to a merchant. If you raise it with your bank as a payment dispute instead, that is handled by Stripe as merchant of record. You are welcome to write to me instead and I will help either way — but I am not going to claim on this page that I control an answer I do not.
If a file is faulty, missing, or not what the page said it was, that is mine to fix — and I will, or you get your money back. No form, no argument. Those rights are yours by law and nothing on this page reduces them.
For a straightforward change of mind on a file you have already downloaded, ask. Neither of us can promise the answer in advance.
Your right to change your mind. If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to withdraw from it, without giving a reason. For digital content the law lets that right lapse once delivery has begun — but only if you asked for it to begin and were told that asking ends the right.
So it is asked for, in those words, on the last screen before payment. The box above the install button reads: “I ask for my download to start straight away, and I understand that once it begins I no longer have a 14-day right to change my mind. Anything faulty, missing or not as described is still put right.” The purchase cannot proceed without it, and what you ticked is recorded against your order rather than assumed from this page. Agreeing to these terms is not the same act, and is not treated as one.
So once your download has started, a change of mind is no longer refundable. Before it starts it is: if you have paid and not yet downloaded, write to me.
Where the right has not lapsed, write to me at support@augustovnd.com — it is my decision to answer. Link support handles the payment itself. Any clear statement will do; there is also a model form on the refund page if you would rather use one.
Before you buy: TypeKit Lite is free and runs the same engine, every product page lists what it needs, and the FilmPack page shows every look on a real photograph with the untouched original beside it. If you are unsure whether something suits you, ask me first — I would rather answer an email than take money for the wrong thing.
The full detail is on the refund policy page, and what you may do with what you bought is on the license page.
09Support
Support is me, by email, at support@augustovnd.com. There is no ticket system and no queue — there is one person who reads them.
Include what you bought, the email you used, your operating system and the version of DaVinci Resolve or Lightroom you are running. It saves a round trip and usually means the first reply is the answer.
If you want to complain rather than ask, say so — write complaint anywhere in the message. You will get a written acknowledgment with a reference number you can quote back at me, and an answer within fifteen days. That is what Spanish consumer law asks for, and it seems a reasonable thing to promise anyway.
10What is not promised
These tools are supplied as they are. They are made carefully and used on real work before they ship, but I cannot promise they will be free of every fault, or that they will suit a particular purpose you have in mind, or that they will keep working after a future update to DaVinci Resolve or Lightroom that I have not seen yet. When something does break on a new version, fixing it is the work — that is what the changelog is.
None of that touches your legal guarantee. Spanish and EU law give you a statutory guarantee that digital content is as described and works as it should. It exists whatever this page says, it cannot be signed away, and it is separate from — not replaced by — anything in section 08.
So if something is not as described, do not read the paragraph above and assume you are stuck. Write to me. I would rather fix it than argue about which sentence applies.
To the extent the law allows, my liability for anything connected to a product is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Back up your projects. That is true of every plugin, from anyone.
11Trademarks
August and augustovnd are mine. DaVinci Resolve and Blackmagic Design are trademarks of Blackmagic Design Pty Ltd; Lightroom and Adobe are trademarks of Adobe Inc.
August is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Blackmagic Design or Adobe. Their names appear here only to say what these tools work with.
12Law and contact
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the mandatory protections of your own country and may bring a claim there — nothing here takes that away.
The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025, so there is no link to it. If we cannot settle something between us, you can approach the Spanish Sistema Arbitral de Consumo, or the European Consumer Centres Network if you are in another member state.
Where this store sells. Almost everywhere — but Link, as the seller, cannot accept orders from a short list of countries under sanctions or trade restrictions, and you may not download or use these products anywhere that would breach those rules. If checkout will not complete where you are, that is usually why, and it is not something either of us can override.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
I may change these terms — the version and date at the top of this page say when they last moved. A change never applies backwards to something you have already bought.
Anything unclear?
Write to me. A legal page is a poor substitute for an answer, and I would rather you asked before buying than found out after.
